Introduction
The finest quality chrome steel produced in accordance with the highest industry standards. These high precision G28 ball bearings are hot forged from bar stock. Modern furnaces with precisely controlled atmospheres and temperatures are used for heat treating to assure uniform hardness and proper microstructure for each Stainless steel ball. Throughout the manufacturing process, statistical process control assures tolerance accuracy, fine surface finish and consistent high quality. Chrome steel balls offer the precise geometry and fine surface finish that makes them especially useful for bicycles, casters, drawer slides, door locks and many other applications.
Grade 28 chrome steel bearing balls are widely used in precision ball bearings as well as most aerospace, Transportation and industrial applications. Chromium (CR) has a tendency to increase hardness, toughness and wear resistance of steel. Chrome steel is a chrome Alloy carbon steel, not a chrome plated steel.
Although these chromium steel balls have good rust resistance, but it is recommended to use a dry cloth to wipe clean after use and apply a layer of oil, so that they have better rust resistance, to extend their service life.
High Quality Graded Hardened Chrome Steel Ball bearings made from Chromium GCr15 steel. Hardened to 60-67 Rockwell Scale equivalent to 700-900 HV (Vickers Scale) and are hardened all the way through the ball. These are the same hardened steel balls used to manufacture bearing assemblies and have a high duty and life cycle.
