Introduction
High-carbon chromium bearing steel refers to high-carbon alloy steel with a chromium content of 1.40-1.65%. The structure is relatively uniform and stable after heat treatment , with good wear resistance, high stress fatigue strength, good dimensional stability and good hardenability, and extremely strict control of sulfur and phosphorus. It is high-grade high-quality steel. Cold working mold steel. Specific gravity: 7.81.
This steel can meet the processing requirements under general working conditions. The brand numbers of ordinary high-carbon chromium bearing steel are GCr15 and GCr15SiMn. The performance of these two types of bearings is basically the same. But the hardenability of GCr15SiMn is better than GCr15, so GCr15SiMn is used for relatively large bearing parts.
Because GCr15SiMn has high crack sensitivity and low impact resistance, it cannot fully meet the requirements of thick-walled bearings and mining bearings. Therefore, the railway department does not allow the use of CGr15SiMn on passenger car bearings. It is also limited to thick-walled rolling mills and mining machinery under large and compact loads.
Chrome steel is a bearing grade alloy steel. This material is known as 52100 steel in the US, 100Cr6 in Europe, SUJ2 in Japan and GCr15 in China. This fine-grain martensitic steel has high hardness, exceptional wear, surface characteristics and is exceptional for the creation of chrome steel balls. Chrome steel is an excellent material for balls used in various applications such as food grinding systems, vibratory finishing, linear motion components, and check valves.
