Description
AISI52100 chrome steel balls are used in the ball and roller bearing industry and various automotive applications. These chrome steel balls have excellent surface quality through quenching, they have excellent wear resistance, high hardness and high load carrying capacity.The steel has the characteristics of moderate plasticity, low cutting performance, poor welding performance, high sensitivity to white spots and temper brittleness.
Modern furnaces with precisely controlled atmospheres and temperatures are used for heat treating to assure uniform hardness and proper microstructure for each steel ball.
Apllication
Application of precision bearings, automotive parts (brakes, steering gears, spools), ball transfer units, linear ball bearings, bicycle and motorcycle parts, electrical appliances, quick couplings, machine tools, locking mechanisms, conveyor belts, ball pens, pumps, casters , measuring instruments, valves, recirculating balls. Used for browning, polishing and milling machinery.
